Eliyau Klein’s dissertation, jointly supervised by Prof. Havi Dreyfuss and Dr. David Silberklang, examines Jewish–non-Jewish relations in Włodawa County (Poland) under German occupation, 1939-1944. He is the recipient of several awards, including the President of Israel Scholarship for Excellence in Science and Innovation (2022), the Israel Gutman Prize for Holocaust Research (2022), and the Yad Vashem Scholarship (2022, 2024, 2025). His article on the rural society in occupied Poland and the persecution of Jews during the Holocaust was published in Yad Vashem Studies in 2024.
