Yael Paulina Robinson Gottfeld is a PhD candidate in the Department of Jewish History at Tel Aviv University (Israel). Her research explores the experiences of mixed families in the aftermath of the Holocaust, with particular attention to emotional communities, Jewish belonging, and postwar reconstruction. She is especially interested in the intersections of Holocaust studies and the history of emotions. She holds MA degrees from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and the University of Warsaw (Poland) in Jewish Education and Hebrew Studies. Yael Paulina is the recipient of the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Phyllis Greenberg and Richard D. Heideman Fellowship (2026), the European Holocaust Research Infrastructure Conny Kristel Fellowship Programme (2023), and a scholarship from the Goldstein-Goren Diaspora Research Center at Tel Aviv University (2025).
