Dr. Ella Florsheim is Editor-in-Chief of Yad Vashem Publications. She completed her PhD at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Her study, Words Reaching for Life: Yiddish Culture in the Displaced Persons Camps, was published in Hebrew in 2020 by The Zalman Shazar Center for Jewish History and Yad Vashem Publications. Dr. Florsheim’s topics of research are the She’erit Hapletah and the Displaced Persons Camps in Germany, and Yiddish culture after the Holocaust.
