Dr. Jason Tingler is an Assistant Professor and History Program Coordinator at Marion Technical College (Ohio). He earned his PhD from the Strassler Center for Holocaust and Genocide Studies at Clark University in 2019. Dr. Tingler has received additional fellowships and awards from Yad Vashem, the Ohio Academy of History, the European Holocaust Research Infrastructure, and the Kupferberg Holocaust Center at Queensborough Community College (CUNY). Dr. Tingler’s research explores aspects of Holocaust and genocide studies, communal relations, and the social dynamics of mass violence. His dissertation, which examines the German occupation and interethnic violence in the Chełm region of Poland, is currently being revised for publication. His work has appeared in Slavic Review, Genocide Studies International, Lessons & Legacies, and the edited volume On the Social History of Persecution (De Gruyter, 2023).
